Why do we relax and fall asleep when we listen to the rain? Prehistorical men used to protect themselves from the rain by staying in their shelters or caves, doing nothing and waiting for the rain to stop. While waiting they would sit or lie and cuddle and sleep. This characteristic has remained in us today.

The distant thunder reminds me of the distant pain. I laugh when i see people running from the rain. Let it hit your skin, you fools...... for someday you will wish you were alive to feel it.

When I listen to this, I feel a calm sweeping over me. A quiet silence in a dark night. Something about the sounds generated in this just... This is calming. Very calming, and I can't think of very many things that are this calming. Wonderful job getting this one done. Thx a lot!

I'm a recovering agoraphobic, and i put this on my mp3 player, so everytime i leave the house, i can put this on & it relaxes me so much, i'm in my own little world. I love it :)

My mom had a cd that had this stuff on it, works great to sleep with. Turn off the tv pop this into cd and put in player and you will be asleep within 5 minutes. And releaves stress. I love it thanks for posting :)

At first i thought "random cracks of thunder...calming? pffft, yeah right." But I know a few different sounds of rain/water videos and this one is probably my favorite BECAUSE it's different with the rain AND the thunder.

I remember i went on a camping trip, and it rained so we stayed inside our little waterproof tents and fell asleep to the sound of rain pattering, it was so relaxing, i luv this video, bring back memories
