@Beavis1144 I am not basing this on popularity or evolution of guitar playing. I am an advanced guitar player myself and I am basing this on technical proficiency. Steve Vai can play orchestral pieces. We guitar players know how hard it is to play that. Blues and Jass scales and Hendrix scales might be hard to read on the paper but they are not extremely hard to execute. Blues licks are square repetitious and technically easy thats why you see more guitarist play blues.
