@Catau93rl mmm... I don't think so... you can listen to music, not to lyrics... what is important is music. who said that black metal have to be antichristian? this is a commonplace!

TROPPO MONOTONA!
– TheTuttoryky @ Sep 28, 2011
Why you can't find most of their lyrics? I've searched for "Fjaer" and "join me with suicide" but cannot find anywhere.
– prabjot32 @ Sep 29, 2011

This guy is Christian? Belief in something akin to God is one thing, but christianity is a whole 'nother ballgame. Christians believe in a 2000 year old lich king called Jesus. I contemplate questions of a "spiritual" or metaphysical nature, but I don't believe that a man whose been dead for 2000 years is capable of doing anything but being dead. Most of the story of Jesus was allegory or embellishment. His "disciples" didn't begin writing the gospels until 40 to 70 years after his death.

@KoolDamy the fact is tom araya was not christian when he was spewing those masterful lyrics of hatred and evil, his expression of christianity is very recent.
– lordofdepths666 @ Nov 5, 2011
@lordofdepths666 are you sure about that? he said he was born and raised in a catholic home, so i understood he was a catholic from early age. either way, he still sings slayer masterpieces against catholicism and religion in general

– 777anouk @ Nov 11, 2011
depressive black metal isnt about religion, its about feeling the music embracing this energy very few people find beauty in darkness, you dont even have to be depressed to listen to it,i've been through dark thoughts so much that i cant even feel the depression anymore, you just get over it one day trust me it is always like that sadness isnt eternal and neither is happyness

@Catau93rl i know it's not black metal of course, but tom araya is catholic, and he sings stuff like "i am the antichrist", "kill the priest and curse him endlessly", "god hates us all", etc etc etc. he says he looks the artistic side of slayer. what i mean is that you can be christian and enjoy anti-christian music
