Sure, I agree with you that the Beatles are better than Lady Gaga or someone from xfactor, but that doesn't change the fact that it's an opinion. Someone else may say Lada Gaga or someone from Xfactor is better than the Beatles. This doesn't mean that Lady Gaga or Xfactor are more creative or had a greater impact on the world of music, but it also doesn't mean that they're any better by the definition of art.

Influence is different from art, it's separate. It's the motivation and type that creates something, but comparing to artists, and then implying it's fact that one is better than the other is just ridiculous. Art is art.
