this type of music you need to experience with some drugs , or just keep listening until you start focusing on every single sound. the repetetiveness is necessary to create an abstract picture in your mind.

I am sure that you can tell the difference between techno music and the sound of your washing machine. You just don't like this music, 'cause it's annoying you or something. Right? And it's completely normal, many people don't like techno. BTW I love it :-)

a lot of the appeal of techno is the hypnotic groove and atmospherics (so it may be repetitive / monotonous). i wouldnt say this vid is that great tho.
