– clemmat85 @ Jul 19, 2010
@clemmat85 AMEN! haha
– AJOPDX @ Jul 19, 2010
@DarkestJade The greatest jazz pianist in the world and you callhim a retard??? You ignorant fool.
– satheist @ Jul 21, 2010
@satheist No, you're a fool. You're telling me that this guy is better than Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea? Yeah right. Keith's playing is dull. This song is ugly and lame.
– DarkestJade @ Jul 21, 2010
@neomayer It ended in perfect silence because everyone knows it sucked.
– DarkestJade @ Jul 21, 2010
@DogSoop I believe the technical term is a pianogasm.
– jazzevans @ Jul 21, 2010
@DarkestJade hahahahah someone's jealous!!!!!! please, please, PLEASE post a video of you playing better. If you can't, just accept the fact that this man is possibly the most talented musician of all time.
– neomayer @ Jul 21, 2010
@neomayer I don't play the piano. I play the trumpet, and Keith is nowhere near Hancock or Corea. And those are only pianists. Since you said "this man is possibly the most talented musician of all time", that doesn't only bring in the better pianists than him into the argument, but it also brings in Coltrane, Bird, Miles, and Clifford Brown. And you're smoking something if you think Keith is more talented than them.
– DarkestJade @ Jul 22, 2010
I don't know if he's better than Herbie or even Lang Lang, but this solo certainly brought a smile on my face.
– MultiTravisbickle @ Jul 22, 2010
@DarkestJade You have to understand that the world is NOT flat. It is round...proven. Keith Jarret is the BEST..proven. If you don't understand that Keith Jarrett is the best, then you wouldn't know anyway. Its undisputed truth. But you can believe the world is still flat if u want. Higher intelligence may be needed to understand Keith"s genius. You may just need more time and intense study to realize this bro! It's ok, one day u may reach that point.
– douglong77 @ Jul 23, 2010
@DarkestJade I forgive u because u are a child, not knowing what u say is pure ignorance. Ask CHIC or HERBIE if Keith is superior to them and they will quickly tell you what the correct answer is. Yes, Keith is way beyond them, and they will be the first to admit it. I promise you brother. No hard feelings man, but its the truth. Keep studying and you too may see the light!
– douglong77 @ Jul 23, 2010
@douglong77 LOL!!!! I was laughing the whole time reading this comment. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Please, never leave your opinion on a video again because you're making a total fool out of yourself.
– DarkestJade @ Jul 24, 2010
The reason why it ended with no applause and the stage dimming out like that was because Keith wanted it that way for the video-recording. Keith is dedicated purely to his art and is not looking for any coarse manifestations of public approval. And judging by some of the comments that have been posted here it is hardly surprising.

– ironjohnlad @ Aug 3, 2010

@noupsey it is an improvisation at the end of the concert in tokyo 1987 Last Solo. Anyway the first time I heard this improvisation was at the end of the concert of Brema 1973. But here he developed it! :-)
