@TheKenTerry I think that's a pretty malicious remark, to say that mental illness is not an illness. She made an effort to look decent, but, more than anything, she was trying tomake a statement. The song's meaning is distinct from the video's meaning, it seems.

@anibalelcanibal I'm inclined to agree with that. I to am against mass slaughter of animals. I usually prefer meats to come from animals that have been humanely dispatched. I usually buy organic meats which have no chemicals or hormones and the animals they come from are humanely dispatched.

@WyreWizard Quite so. The way most animal meat is produced --for instance, supermarket brands and fast food places-- is a horrifyingly cruel process. The animals' lives are short and painful. I think she was trying get people to think about where all those giant, mutated turkeys came from and how they might have died in ways that would not be very pleasant.
