I remember 10 years ago reading about were wolves and vamps then just 3 years ago they become too popular,,, :( that sucks but oh well! It will die down again not infinite it never has, I just don't like over popularizing things I like, :)

A lot of people I know have tried to make a meaning of this song and how it strictly means that there were werewolves walking around in the night or at a bar. I believe that the song in fact talks about a cold-blooded killer, but not an actual werewolf, blending in with the rest of society and no one noticing his true identity, hence the lyric "I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's, and his hair was perfect." Just a thought.

For some reason, I always think of Dog Soldiers when I hear this song.

gettotheGate @ Mar 8, 2011

Compare this musical score to "Sweet Home Alabama"... Then compare 'view count.' Incredible.... no.... EPIC sadness.

jckb1330 @ Mar 8, 2011

@jckb1330 This is not to say that the group Lynard Skynard were not musical geniuses. -They were.

i really like this song.I can't get it out of my head when i work and have earplugs in i sing this song to myself it gives me a good rythm to work to. Everyone calls me wolf or wolfman most people don't even know my real name its kind of funny when i was a teenager my freinds would come over and ask for wolfman my mom would say WHAT. But she got used to it.lol haha

WOLFMANoct1963 @ Mar 10, 2011

@Uzzie101 a song as complex as free bird? don't get me wrong its a great song but it is not complex at all. complexity takes layering and meaning. for example, Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner sound simple, but in reality, fairly complex song

killutoday @ Mar 10, 2011

@Uzzie101 and the chords are different, just listen to the notes i own the guitar tabs for both songs

killutoday @ Mar 10, 2011
